Voices Not Forgotten
Long before the resources and opportunities were present, Michelle Gibson Ashé's Dance Artist-in-Residence, was inspired by the belief in the importance of igniting the elders' vitality through movement. From this belief arose two performace works: Voices Not Forgotten and Voicese Not Forgotten: Firsts. Both of these works derive from the notion that it is critical to preserve the viatlity of human beings in their later years; movement is an essntial ingredient to preserving this vitality, especially for those who might have limited mobility.
This work is with Central City EOC Senior Citizens center and led by Karel Sloane-Boekbinder
