N'Kafu Traditional African Dance Company presents "Liberte"

CONCERT

N'Kafu Traditional African Dance Company is celebrating 28 years of dancing, drumming, singing, and telling the untold stories of our people through dance and drum! In celebration of 28 years, N'Kafu will present "Liberte." the story of freedom for Guinea, Mali, and Senegal from the colonizers. This year’s performance is written by Mariama Curry, Connie Easterling, Brandon Conerly, and Khadi Blackwell. It is directed by KeShauna Jones Lee, and some of New Orleans finest actresses and actors.  N'Kafu will take you on a journey through the ups and downs of attaining freedom.  The company has studied extensively with the masters of this folklore in telling the story.  Following the performance the audience will have an opportunity to ask questions. 

CONCERT TICKETS are $25.00 for adults and $15.00 for children 17 and under, and seniors. The tickets can be purchased at Community Book Center and from any N'Kafu member.  Night-of-the-performance admission is the same.
