Culu Children's Traditional African Dance Company is celebrating 28 years of African dancing, drumming, singing, and fun, and will culminate its conference with a concert held at Ashé Power House, 1731 Baronne St., New Orleans. Culu will tell the story of The Diola People and The Wrestling Match. The company breathes life into age-old values, is life force in motion, and is representative of traditional dress and costumes.
THE CONFERENCE--for children only
June 22-24, 2018 at Historic Treme Center; $10 per child
The conference gives children an opportunity to study exclusively with Master dancers and drummers from Africa.
