Registration:  $300

Uptown Needle & Craftworks, Beecher Memorial UCC Quilt Group; Elizabeth Townsend, professor Tulane University Law School and Ashé Cultural Arts Center are bringing women of the Gee's Bend Quiltmakers Collective to New Orleans for a three-day quilting workshop. In conjunction with the workshop, quilts created by the ladies of the Beecher Memorial Congregational UCC Quilt Group will be on display.  This is a great opportunity to enhance your knowledge of African American quilt-making. The exhibition will include 28 quilts created by New Orleans quilters.  Some are for sale.
