Mondays

7:00 PM    Body Works (examining the body's organs), 504 HealthNet Partners

 

Thursdays

6:00 PM    Afro-Modern with Kai

7:00 PM    Traditional African Dance with Mariama


Dance offerings change every 6-8 weeks, and include African, Salsa, Haitian, Tap, Line Dance, Contemporary, Cuban, Chicago-Style Stepping, Secondline, Zumba and more. So join the "sistahs" and exercise and dance your way to wellness. The program is directed by Jamilah Peters-Muhammad, a registered nurse and professional dancer. Offerings include dance, educational films and information, nutrition, and info on all aspects of health and wellness. A nutritious meal is served after each class. For more information, call (504) 569-9070, or just show up in exercise gear or comfortable clothing ready to move. No dance experience needed. Donations are appreciated.
