Ashe’Cultural Arts Center is a member of the National Performance Network (NPN). This membership provides access to partial support for one week residencies with visual and performance artists who reside a distance of 100 miles or more from New Orleans and who have experience with community-based art programming. Artists interested in being considered should contact us by email providing a summary of their concept for a residency, a bio, samples of work and potential available times in the next year. OUR VOICES~ONE HEARTBEAT

Teens create healing music and spoken word. 

 

Partnering youth from Chicago who are disconnected from their “community” with youth in New Orleans experiencing similar effects from living in communities that are underserved, marginalized and still are recovering from historical trauma, OUR VOICES~ONE HEARTBEAT will open communication between communities by bringing together youth impacted by racism and poverty. Read more
